Magaling! Ang Panibagong Kuwento ni Malakas at Maganda
Emergent Theatre (ET) PH “soft” launched its first public performance entitled “Magaling! Ang Panibagong Kuwento ni Malakas at Maganda” last October 2019 at YogaFit Studio. Participants were invited by the ET practitioners – friends and colleagues, or people in their immediate circle.
The three public performances held at YogaFit were intimate, with 12 to 20 participants at a time. Each event started with snacks for everyone before entering the studio, and proceeding with meditation, activities or ET exercises (i.e. movement, sharing/discussion) and simple performances also based on ET exercises.
Some of the participants have attended the three performances, others missing one and returning, stating that they thoroughly enjoyed and wanted more.
After the public performances, aspiring ET practitioners have joined and continue to nurture its expanding community. Given the pandemic, ET has successfully ventured online, providing safe spaces to the ET community.
Emergent Theatre PH is set to fully launch Magaling! in 2021, when spaces become more available for public gatherings.
Note: Participation to ET performances is by invitation only, ensuring safety and authentic connections as foundation for creating and sustaining the community. For inquiries regarding performances, workshops or training, please send a message through this website.
