Christela Marquez

Christela is a faculty member in De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde Animation Department and in University of Makati Multimedia Arts Department. She is also a concept developer, a theatre actress, and a singer-songwriter. She worked in Star Cinema as a concept developer for films and acted in various roles in theatre plays. She writes and performs songs for her band Twin Fix.

Christela was also a songwriter and a body actress for CinemaOne 2018’s Best Picture “Paglisan”. The song she wrote with other songwriters titled “Buhay Teatro” won the 2019 FAMAS Award for Best Song in the said movie.

She continues to look for platforms and people to work with when it comes to content creation and storytelling, may it be through film, animation, songs, comics, theatre performances and more, in order to explore and experience connection with other people through stories.

She is one of the Emergent Theatre PH practitioners, alongside Ade Valenzona, through the guidance of CHC CoCreator Nex Agustin.
