Aliw-iw Dance Forum was organized in 2009 by the Peoples Assembly for Genuine Alternatives to Social Apathy (PAGASA) Youth in cooperation with the UP Diliman Student Council and Baybayin Craft featuring different dance organizations. The “forum” aimed to provide an alternative space for creative expression and to showcase various dance styles available then – from modern to belly dancing, gamelan to hiphop, and the Liping Baybayin Rhythm – to enliven the Filipino dancing spirit. The Liping Baybayin Rhythm was created by Bonifacio Comandante Jr.

The beginnings of CHC had been inspired by earlier work as core member of both PAGASA and PAGASA Youth.
