gff-farm-1Pesticides and chemically-ridden farming prove to be a major cause of many illnesses today. Aside from that, ‘modernized farming’ tend to deplete the nutrients of the soil due to the bombardment of chemical fertilizers that affect the land’s natural process of regeneration.

Thus, CHC advocates for the use of natural farming methods or sustainable agriculture, which include:

  • Organic Farming
  • Biodynamic Farming
  • Permaculture
  • Forest Farming
  • Composting
  • Vermiculture

As well as promoting healthy and indigenous food:

  • Indigenous Filipino rice: brown, red, black or violet
  • Indigenous Filipino crops and local delicacies
  • Vegetarian, Pescetarian or pescatarian lifestyles

With a network of advocates, CHC is able to organize training on sustainable agriculture, food preparation and events promoting healthy Filipino lifestyles.
