J.M. Astrid Sister

Astrid is an independent writer/researcher and certified acupuncturist and a lover of new experiences. Her own journey of healing as a mother, researcher, and healer is punctuated by a steady drive to help and be helped and to learn and be taught by others, lending a unique blend of capacity to explore vast possibilities in empowerment and societal transformation.

Taking on many hats in different fields, Astrid has years of experience in qualitative and quantitative research and a few years of safely pricking people – a combination which provides some balance in a volatile world.

In CHC, she works alongside Nex Agustin and other collaborators in providing a research lens to concepts and project proposals, lending some perspective on how to best forward Emergent Theatre as an approach, lifestyle, and a means for better connections with oneself and with others in different aspects.
